Ark4lab is an architecture laboratory in Thessaloniki, founded by architects George Tyrothoulakis and Evdokia Voudouri. For the BLG Apartment project, they were in charge of renovating an apartment in one of the most prestigious areas of Thessaloniki, Aristotle Square. The apartment is located on the third floor and overlooks the harbor directly, enjoying a truly exclusive view. Previously intended for a family, it has been transformed into a modern living space, combining contemporary aesthetics with already present traditional elements. Ark4lab chose uniform colors in earth tones, gold, stone, aged wood surfaces, and Hellenistic elements to create an apartment that was also a unique experience for the client.
The living room, office and bedroom were designed as one space, with plaster decorations, a caryatid and various contemporary design objects. In the bedroom, ‘Aura‘ wallpaper is installed as background for the freestanding bathtub, signed by The Sisters to for the Art Collections of Tecnografica. The design of ‘Aura’ incorporates elements of classical Greek art, thus conforming to the style of the apartment.
