

Cristina Iotti
In 1987 Cristina Iotti graduated in Illustration from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED, European Institute of Design) in Milan, Italy. From 1988 to 2001 she worked as a freelance in the ceramic tile design field, designing decorations for artistic ceramics and collaborating with graphic studios. From 2002 she dedicated herself exclusively to painting and drawing. Since then, she regularly exhibits her works both in personal and collective exhibitions, in Italy and abroad. With technical ability, Cristina creates fine drawings, simply using colored pencils. Cristina received many rewards and prizes in different contests, both national and international. In 2007 she won the Premio ARTE by ARTE magazine (published by Cairo Editore) and the special Faber-Castell Prize. Moreover, for the first time in the history of the Faber-Castell Prize, she received the Gold Plate award also in the 2008 edition. She won prizes from the Pencil Art Society (Canada) and the Colored Pencil Society of America. In October 2012, she was the protagonist of the Colored Pencil Magazine’s cover and main article. She collaborated for years with Costa Crociere and many of her artworks are now decorating ships, such as Costa Luminosa, Costa Deliziosa, Costa Fascinosa, and Costa Diadema. Cristina lives and works in Sassuolo (Modena, Italy).
