Arredo Jolly completed a major renovation project at the prestigious Grand Hotel Bristol in Stresa, focusing on the guest rooms and, in particular, the bathrooms, the heart of the restyling.
The goal was to breathe new life into the spaces, maintaining the warm charm of wood and integrating it into a contemporary language of textured surfaces and refined details.
To achieve this balance, Arredo Jolly chose to use Tecnografica's Ultralight 3D panels in the "Atares Wood" graphic design, a three-dimensional wood-effect surface that combines the natural aesthetic of wood grain with the technical performance of ultra-thin aluminum.
Thanks to the material's moisture resistance and lightness (only 1.2 mm thick), Ultralight allowed the continuity of wood to be recreated even in critical areas, such as the wall behind the sinks or the high edges of the shower, where the use of natural wood would normally have been difficult.
Among Ultralight's excellent technical performance features, this project also highlighted its ease of on-site cutting, essential for creating the arched shape of the wall behind the sinks, and the ease of hand-carrying the sheets, made possible by the extreme lightness of the ultra-thin aluminum.
The result is a refined and coherent space, where materials, lights, and textures blend harmoniously in a dialogue between aesthetics and functionality.
This project demonstrates how Ultralight represents the ideal solution for those seeking design freedom, versatility, and performance, allowing natural textures and finishes to be brought even where traditional materials cannot reach.
