Hotel am Zoo by Designwerk 13

The interior design studio Designwerk 13 handled the renovation of Hotel am Zoo in Neunkircher (Germany). The property was completely renovated and expanded by incorporating the nearby restaurant. The hotel owners decided to draw inspiration from the nearby Neunkircher Zoo for the new hotel theme. The interior designers at Designwerk 13 followed the clients' concept, fully embracing the animal world as their inspiration. The hotel's identity is immediately felt upon entering the reception. Behind the reception desk, a custom Dècora LED decorative panel featuring a peacock image was installed, while on the opposite wall, the tropical "Livingstone" wallpaper was framed like a painting. In the common areas on the ground floor, more animal-themed Tecnografica wallpapers can be found: "Pan" in the lounge area and "Arcadia" in the breakfast area. For the guest room areas, Designwerk 13 divided the hotel's floors according to different animal habitats, carefully designing every detail with themed furnishings and wallpapers. The basement floor is called the "Underwater World," where the colors and decorations evoke marine elements, including the "Sealife" wallpaper by the artist Feanne for Tecnografica Collaborations. The first floor is inspired by the jungle, with animal prints and objects shaped like parrots and monkeys. The selected wallpaper for the jungle-themed floor is "Manaus." For the second floor, the chosen concept is the savannah, with warm colors, ethnic-style furnishings, and a wallpaper specially designed by Tecnografica's designers for this project, named "Savana." Finally, on the top floor, there is the hotel's wellness area and rooms inspired by the world of birds. In the guest rooms, the theme is continued with customized wallpaper featuring various exotic species, while in the wellness area, the floral "Waxwing" wallpaper was selected. With its branch and bird motifs, "Waxwing" gently decorates the entire wellness area, creating a cozy "nest" for relaxation.
