BLG Apartment by Ark4lab of Architecture

Ark4lab is an architecture laboratory based in Thessaloniki (Greece), founded by architects George Tyrothoulakis and Evdokia Voudouri. For the BLG Apartment project, they handled the renovation of an apartment located in one of Thessaloniki’s most prestigious areas—Aristotelous Square. The apartment is on the third floor and directly overlooks the port, offering an exclusive view. Originally a family home, the apartment was transformed into a modern living space where contemporary aesthetics blend with pre-existing traditional elements. Ark4lab selected a palette of earthy tones, gold surfaces, stone, aged wood, and Hellenistic references to create a space that is also a unique experience for the client. The living room, office, and bedroom were designed as a unified open space, featuring plaster decorations, a caryatid, and various contemporary design pieces. In the bedroom, behind the freestanding bathtub, stands the “Aura” wallpaper by The Sisters, part of Tecnografica’s Collaborations. The “Aura” design incorporates elements of classical Greek art, aligning perfectly with the apartment’s style.
