Children’s Room – Project by Zenzerosso

The architecture firm Zenzerosso handled the renovation of a 116 m² apartment for a family with children in Moscow (Russia). The biggest challenge for Natalia Malinovskaya and Ekaterina Yablokova, founders of the studio, was repositioning the rooms to optimize the existing space and create new ones. From the start, the family expressed a preference for cool tones but was open to incorporating brighter accents. Therefore, the studio selected most of the finishes and furnishings in neutral colors to better highlight the colorful details. Zenzerosso designed the children’s bedroom in the same style as the rest of the home, opting for modern furniture and soft colors. In addition, they decided to use wallpaper to visually enlarge the space and give the room a strong identity. The chosen wallpaper was the geometric “Eleanor.” With its arch and stair-like pattern, it creates a play of perspective that draws the eye.
