The interior design studio Yana K was responsible for the renovation of the reception and the “Le Cap Horn” restaurant at Le Grand Hôtel des Thermes in Saint-Malo (France). For the reception area, the studio took inspiration from Art Deco and Art Nouveau, incorporating niches, arches, and curved lines into the design. These rounded shapes were combined with refined materials such as the original pink marble flooring, oak wood, black metal, and linen textiles. Among the decorative elements in the reception's relaxation area, Yana K selected three “Giant Agate” decorative panels by Tecnografica. The “Le Cap Horn” restaurant was also renovated. The concept for the redesign was inspired by both the restaurant’s name and the hotel’s location in Brittany. The studio selected elements reminiscent of the beach, the emerald sea, and the wind. Echoing the sea colors and the restaurant’s palette, two “Maui Blue” decorative panels were included. One was installed as a full-height wall feature within a custom light metal frame, while the other was framed like a painting.
