Living Room – Private Project by Iqon Design

Architect Romualda Dainelienė from Iqon Design studio redesigned a small apartment located in a historic building in the center of Vilnius (Lithuania). The original arched windows inspired the theme for the entire renovation. Arches can be found throughout the house: in door decorations, the wallpaper design, and some furniture elements. The apartment’s style is vintage, but made more contemporary with bold and contrasting colors. Another common thread throughout the apartment is the aviation blue color, echoed in the furniture, doors, textiles, and accessories. To decorate the wall of the living area, which includes the kitchen and lounge, architect Romualda Dainelienė chose the "Futura" wallpaper. Its architectural motif recalls the courtyards of Vilnius' Old Town, and its perspective effect enhances the perception of space.
