"The emotions and feelings that a restaurant brand evokes in its customers are what set it apart. It is built step by step and becomes a distinctive feature, creating a connection with the customer and providing coherence to the entire project." This is how the team at Francisco Segarra, a supplier of vintage and industrial furniture for contractors and retail, describes the interior design project for the new Asoko restaurant in Castellón (Spain). Following the success of five other Asoko restaurants in the province of Castellón, the owners decided to open a new venue in the provincial capital. Thus, the concept for the new restaurant had to both respect the brand’s established image and adapt to the style and tastes of the city. Francisco Segarra’s interior designers created a modern and sumptuous restaurant, characterized by a feminine and elegant atmosphere, while respecting all the canons of oriental restaurants. The venue features a well-defined color palette dominated by gold and black. Every space was maximized to make the most of the limited area, aiming to create intimate but interconnected environments. For the furnishings, the designers chose velvet as the primary fabric and wood for the furniture, to soften the tones and reduce strong contrasts. Additional touches of color were introduced through Tecnografica wallpapers. The wallpapers were used to personalize two of the venue’s key areas: the bar counter and the main walls. The bar counter, located at the entrance, is the first point of contact with customers. Featuring a turquoise rust-effect resin top, the counter is fully clad with the floral "Sonet" wallpaper, a pattern recalling traditional chinoiseries. Meanwhile, the main walls of the venue are decorated with the abstract "Okinawa" wallpaper, designed by The Sisters for Tecnografica’s Collaborations. This graphic also evokes oriental atmospheres and landscapes, perfectly in line with the overall style of the venue. To cover all the walls, the wallpaper was customized to ensure design continuity without repetitions.
