Living Room – Private Project by Brusa Nerini Architetti

Brusa Nerini, an architecture studio based in Ferrara (Italy), was commissioned to carry out the restyling of a living room in a private residence. The owners wanted to add a new fireplace and adapt the rest of the furniture to match the new style they had chosen. The architects had to work around some pre-existing elements, such as the dark flooring and the presence of only one window along the perimeter of the living room. To integrate and enhance these elements, the key concept chosen for the restyling was contrast. The fireplace, with its modern shapes and black-and-white tones, influenced the design of the entire living room, including the custom-made furniture. To soften the strong chromatic contrast, Brusa and Nerini incorporated the "Ginko" wallpaper in its Light version. The warm, golden shades of the leaves elegantly evoke an Oriental-inspired motif, creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.
