Bedroom and Home Office – “Young and Free” Project by Simetrica Design

For the renovation of a 42 sqm apartment in the center of Bucharest (Romania), architect Anca Ivan from Simetrica Design was inspired by the concept of "Modern Geometry." Throughout the apartment, straight lines and geometric shapes are made contemporary with trendy pastel colors. The apartment is chic and minimalist, with a fresh and youthful attitude. The main room is the bedroom. This space had to serve a dual purpose: bedroom and home office, without the possibility of dividers due to the limited space. Anca Ivan's solution was to use different geometries to distinguish the two areas, while maintaining the same color palette. For the home office area, the architect included a bookshelf with square shelving units to define the space. For the sleeping area, she opted for the wallpaper "Janis" (color variant Primary). The sinuous geometries of the graphic subject soften the straight lines of the room, giving the environment the artistic touch that Anca Ivan was seeking to add more personality to the home.
