Living room - Private project by Ghazal Khaksari

Stairs are always fundamental sculptural elements, which improve the quality of the interior". These are the words of architect and interior designer Ghazal Khaksari describing the project of a living room in Monza (Italy). The central element of the whole environment is the cantilevered stairs, which lead to the upper floor. The room, characterized by large spaces, includes both the living room and the dining room. In addition, we also find a small relaxation area, which develops around a wood burning stove. The high ceilings and large windows overlooking the city make everything airy and full of light. The architect opted for a contemporary style, with natural wood for the floors, black metal profiles for the fixtures and lighting and neutral colors for the rest of the furniture. To accentuate the width of the room, Ghazal Khaksari chose the wallpaper "Eleonoire", color variant Concrete. The portrait of a woman, made in watercolor by Giovanna Casotto for Tecnografica Collaborations, extends over the entire height of the main wall, giving a touch of colour to the room. Fascinated by the portraits of this artist, the architect decided to insert in the environment another graphic signed by Giovanna Casotto, this time in the form of a picture.
