Livign room- Private project by Georgios Kontaxakis

Always feel on vacation, just crossed the threshold of home. Impossible? Not for the architect and interior designer Georgios Kontaxakis, who with the complete renovation of an apartment in Chania in Greece, brings an oasis of relaxation and comfort between home walls. Thanks to the exceptional location, right in front of the sea of beautiful Crete, the final result is really surprising. In this 70 m2 apartment, the architect’s goal was to create a minimalist yet comfortable space. Georgios Kontaxakis made extensive use of neutral colours and clean lines, so that the furniture did not distract attention from the blue sky and the sea on the horizon. Particularly fascinating is the optical effect that we wanted to recreate with the wallpaper "Malindi Dream" (color variant Blue). From the homonymous locality of Kenya, "Malindi Dream" takes up the paradisiacal shades of the ocean and reinterprets them in an abstract way. It creates a unique horizon, between the panorama that enchants beyond the terrace and the wallpaper that decorates the living room. The finish chosen for this project is TNT, the Tecnografica wallpaper with a spatulate effect able to enhance bright colors and the finest details.
