“Scacco matto” by Vittoria Ostini
Information
#EpicRenderChallenge has finally a winner!
We received many renderings, your imagination was spectacular and your commitment absolutely extraordinary! That’s why deciding (believe me!) was REALLY hard, but Epic Render Challenge needed a single winner...
After careful analysis, the rendering signed by Vittoria Ostini dedicated to the famous character of Sherlock Holmes is what convinced the creative department of Tecnografica! The project of Vittoria, entitled "Scacco Matto", is the one that has best interpreted this challenge, creating clear references to the protagonist epic character and decorating the room consistently.
The designer has always been passionate about the British historical period from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, the Victorian era. Her intention was therefore to recreate a "dreamlike" room dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, icon of the crime novels set in those years.
The room reproduces historic and elegant details typical of the period: wooden floors, boiserie, dark colors and objects that today we call vintage.
To enhance the environment, Vittoria gives ample space to the wallpaper "Dairon" created by MAD (Marco Pulga) for the Tecnografica Collaborations, which the designer describes as a "floral painting, a valid interpreter of an atmosphere of classical villa in Victorian style". In this environment, wallpaper is as much a protagonist as the Baker Street detective himself.
"Also," explains Vittoria, "the scene shows one of Holmes' favourite pastimes, chess. But the question remains: did he win or lose the game?"
We don’t know the answer about Sherlock’s game, but we certainly know the answer for the finale of the #EpicRenderChallenge... Congratulations to Vittoria!
