The interior design studio Yana K was in charge of the renovation of Le Grand Hôtel des Thermes in Saint-Malo (France). In particular, the renovated areas are the reception and the restaurant ‘Le Cap Horn’.
For the reception, the studio drew inspiration from Art Deco and Art Nouveau,, incorporating niches, arches and curved lines into the design. The rounded shapeswere then combined with precious materials, such as the pink marble of the original floor, oak, black metal, and linen textiles. Among the decorative elements of the relaxation area at the reception, the Yana K Studio chose three decorative panes“Giant Agate“ byTecnografica.
Also therestaurant “Le Cap Horn” has been renovated. The concept for the renovation was based on both the name of the restaurant and the location of the hotel , which is Brittany. Elements that recall the beach, the emerald sea and the wind were in fact selected.
Echoing the colors of the sea and the restaurant, two “Maui Blue“ decorative panels decorate the walls.. One panel was installed floor-to-ceiling, inserted in a special structure in light metal, while the other one was framed as if it were a painting.
The decorative panels chosen by the Yana K Studio are all in the Smart Panel Glossy finish, the large, ultra-thin, ultra-light and flexible polycarbonate support.
