Italian Masterpieces by Tecnografica is a unique collection in the world of decorative coverings, as it features the masterpieces of some of the most famous Italian artists who have marked the history of our country. Tecnografica becomes a cultural promoter of Italian artistic heritage, with the primary goal of enhancing the beauty and expressive power of the artworks and bringing Italian art into homes around the world.
Italian Masterpieces was born from a specific project by Tecnografica in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Cultural, which granted the use of ultra-high-definition images of the masterpieces; the images were produced by FattoreArte, a brand of the company Dithec S.r.l., which applies the latest generation technologies dedicated to the promotion of cultural heritage.
With its first capsule collection of Italian Masterpieces dedicated to the priceless masterpieces of the Uffizi Galleries, Tecnografica has chosen to celebrate the charm of numerous Italian Renaissance paintings: l’Allegoria della Primavera di Botticelli, la Nascita di Venere di Botticelli, l’Annunciazione di Leonardo Da Vinci, Bacco di Caravaggio, la Venere di Urbino di Tiziano, la Sacra Famiglia di Michelangelo Buonarroti, Flora di Tiziano Vecellio, la Madonna della Seggiola di Raffaello Sanzio e la Battaglia di San Romano di Paolo Uccello.
Allegoria della Primavera is considered the symbol of the Renaissance, created between 1477 and 1482 on commission by the Medici. It shows nine mythological figures immersed in a garden rich in natural symbolism. Its interpretation is still debated today, but the message clearly celebrates love, beauty, peace, and cultural rebirth.
Nascita di Venere, dated between 1476 and 1487, depicts the goddess Venus emerging from the sea on a shell. Inspired by the verses of the poet Poliziano, the work expresses the universal ideal of beauty and the birth of a new humanity, embodied in the divine and perfect figure of the goddess.
Annunciazione, a youthful painting by Leonardo, was created during his apprenticeship. The scene stands out for its setting in a blooming garden and the attention to botanical details, a sign of scientific and poetic observation of nature, seen as an expression of the divine.
Sacra Famiglia, better known as Tondo Doni, is a tempera on a circular wooden panel commissioned by Agnolo Doni and executed by Michelangelo Buonarroti around 1507. Considered a stylistic precursor to the Sistine Chapel, it represents the Holy Family as a symbol of humanity in relation to Christ, with a strong and sculptural composition.
Flora is an oil on canvas by Tiziano Vecellio, dating to around 1515. It portrays the goddess of spring as a symbol of the matrimonial season. With restrained and refined sensuality, the painting celebrates ideal beauty through light, material, and the psychological delicacy of the face and gestures.
Madonna della Seggiola is one of the sweetest and most harmonious works by Raffaello Sanzio, dating to around 1512, and probably commissioned by Pope Leo X. Raphael humanizes the Virgin, depicting her as a loving mother in an intimate embrace with the Child, in a circular composition reminiscent of a cradling gesture.
Battaglia di San Romano is a triptych using mixed techniques on panel, created by Paolo Uccello around 1438, now divided between Florence, London, and Paris. It depicts a 1432 battle between Florentines and Sienese. It is famous for its innovative use of perspective and the fusion of late Gothic taste with Renaissance experimentation, making Uccello a bridge artist between two eras.
Thanks to the transposition of the artworks into ultra-high-definition digital files, created by FattoreArte, the latest generation technologies are wisely used to enhance cultural heritage. Continuing this collaboration, Tecnografica reaffirms its commitment to the most prestigious and significant Art of our country, with the aim of fully reviving the beauty and expressive power of the works and bringing Italian art into design spaces and homes around the world.
The entire Italian Masterpieces capsule collection is available in all Tecnografica wallpaper and decorative panel finishes. Moreover, the excellent graphic quality of the reproduced images allows adaptation even to large-sized walls.
